Blog info:

This is a personal blog about my life and interests. While I hope that you might find some insightful information/inspiration here, I do not intend for this to be a "lolita guide" blog; there are more than enough of those already. I simply want a place to document my life and perhaps develop my writing skills. Best wishes, Katherine :)

It's an Innocent World

Here are a couple of photos of me wearing my new Innocent World bonnet and dress.

I think that I feel more comfortable wearing bonnets with classic lolita outfits since it is harder to mistake them for a baby's bonnet; instead they look like a historical fashion item.

Lately I have been busy finishing my dissertation, and now I am revising for my final year of university exams!

Old Outfits

My lolita-style has changed a lot since I first discovered the style. I don't really stick to one style, but I suppose I like sweet lolita the most. Here you can a selection of my outfits from the past few years:

Innocent World Outlet Lucky Pack

Lucky packs, known as "fukubukuro" in Japanese, are lucky-dip bags of mystery items from a particular store. You are able to get items for a cheaper price than you would normally pay, however you usually don't get any choice in what will be inside (although you can sometimes pick the colour). The main reason that stores sell lucky packs is to clear out old stock for the new year. They are a great way to expand a wardrobe, and when it comes to most lolita brands you can really grab yourself a bargain!

There are three main types:
Normal lucky pack - filled with random items from previous seasons.
Original print lucky pack - filled mostly with items made especially for the lucky pack. They are often lower quality than their usual items.
Outlet lucky pack - filled mostly with damaged and prototype items.

Recently Innocent World made a small number of outlet lucky packs available for international customers on their website. With over 100,000yen worth of goodies inside, I was thrilled when I found out I managed to get one.

Half the fun of a lucky pack is trying to guess what will be inside. EGL is a great place to find out what the early-birds got in their lucky packs before your own one arrives! Once my parcel was finally released from customs, I was presently surprised with it's contents, not a single deformed animal! There was also very little if any damage on the items; Innocent World's quality control must have very high standards!

Classical square OP: It's not my usual style, but I really like the Victorian doll feel of this dress. (It is brown not black, sorry if the picture isn't very clear).
Flora JSK: Made using lovely silk fabric featuring a pink rose print. Sadly I was hoping for the sax blue version, so if anyone would like to trade let me know!
Angel land skirt: A gorgeous print with fountains and angels. It reminds me of those blue designs you often see on teacups.

Floral shawl: I didn't realise Innocent World even sold shawls! But this is truly very pretty.
Wicker basket bag: I was hoping for a strawberry bag, but I don't actually have a black lolita bag so this is quite useful.
Priscilla bonnet: I was so happy I got a bonnet! I've been wanting one for ages, but I never got round to buying one.

Ribbon embroidered blouse: I've been wanting a long-sleeved white blouse for the winter months; another useful item. The embroidery features a small rhinestone.
Ribbon wallet: While it doesn't have any room to store coins, I mostly pay by card so I will be using this. My friends and I are unable to decide whether this is brown or black!

And finally three pairs of adorable socks, the first pair being my favourite.
